I got this Fiero 3 years ago from a dumpy car dealer. Paid $750 for it and drove it home. Interior was perfect, power everything
but mirrors, and the engine was just rebuilt. The car had been stolen once when he had it, so the steering column was busted
and they used a pry bar to upen the rear decklind and destroyed it.
I made the car driveable, by fixing all the little stuff and sold it to a friend for $1200. He proceded to put new tires
on it and drove it for a little while until the alternator went out. After replacing that in summer of 2004, he drove it for
2 months, and then it started starting really hard, just cranks but not starting. He left it al my shop for the winter and
I got to it this spring. I replaced the distributor, coil, wires, TPS, and IAC, and still didn't run. Traced the problem to
a fautly cold start valve and fuel pump relay, now starts at the hit of the key.
That spring I just happened to get a 86 Fiero in that had a bad drivetrain but a freshly painted body, My buddy gave me
$250 and I swapped all the old faded body panels for the fresh red ones. The pictures below show my work.
